Moreton-in-Marsh, situated on the ancient Roman Fosse Way, is at the head of the Evenlode Valley in the English Cotswolds. Moreton has retained the character of a small friendly market town, providing a weekly street market on Tuesdays. There is a good range of shopping, hotels and restaurant facilities making the area an excellent centre for the tourist, with the beauty of the Cotswolds on the door-step.
The town is with-in easy reach of London with direct hourly services via Paddington Station, and bus links to the whole of the Cotswold region. For car drivers, Moreton is about twenty miles from junction 10 of the M40. Fifteen miles south of Stratford upon Avon taking the A3400 out of Stratford and then the A429 into Moreton. The town is 28 miles north of Oxford on the A44, 4 miles east of Stow-on-the-Wold taking the A429 and 8 miles south of Broadway on the A44.
In Moreton, The Roger Widdas Gallery is located on the High Street, fronting the village green, 100 yards before the Police Station , itself the last building on the high street heading towards Stratford upon Avon.
Visitors can park anywhere in the town without restriction or in the Railway Station, or Shoppers car park, both of which can both be accessed from New Street, located off the High Street virtually opposite the gallery.
