The Widdas Family can trace their connection with the fine arts back almost 200 years to the portrait painter,  John Widdas 1802 - 1858.

 

His son Richard Dodd Widdas 1826 -1885 was a fine sporting artist whose evocative paintings of a coach and horses battling through snowy landscapes are still reproduced on Christmas cards today.

 

 

Ernest Alfred Widdas 1879 - 1960. London portrait painter and miniaturist, grandson of R.D.Widdas received civic commissions and exhibited in London at The Royal Academy and The Royal Miniature Society.
