JULIE ASKEW


BIOGRAPHY

JJulie is a graduate of Middlesex University, with a degree in Scientific Illustration, which gave her the grounding in anatomy and research.

Her observations have taken across much of Europe, North and East Africa, Asia, Australia, Pacific, USA and Caribbean. Julie participates in many shows and exhibitions having had work at the Tryon & Swan Gallery London, Westminster Gallery London, Smiths London, The Watershed Bristol and is represented in the USA by The Mountain Trails Gallery of Jackson Wyoming. Julie is proud to have work in the collections of The Nature in Art Museum, where she is a regular Artist in Residence. She was best selling artist at the last Sotheby’s Wildlife Auction and has been invited to paint for conservation with The Malalangwe Artists Trust in Zimbabwe. Julie has just held a successful solo show at the Cheng-kim-loke Gallery at Slimbridge, home of the wildfowl and Wetlands Trust. To encourage others to enjoy art, Julie holds talks, demonstrations and workshops to art societies and groups. 

She is Guest Art Lecturer for P&O Cruises superliners, Oriana, Oceana and Aurora, taking wildlife art to the high seas around the world. Julie is a member of The Society of Animal Artists based in the USA.
